Operations Supervisor (Lebanese Nationals Only)

  1. Background

ACTED is an International Non-Governmental Organization registered in France with global operations in Central and South Asia, Europe, Middle-East and Africa. ACTED has been active in Lebanon since 2006 operating mainly in the North and Beirut and Mount Lebanon governorates of Lebanon.

 

Live Love Lebanon is a national non-profit, non-governmental organisation, seeking to impact meaningful social and environmental change in Lebanon.

 

  1. Functions

The Operations Manager shall be responsible for:

 

    1. Project Implementation
  • Opening and closing of warehouse and guide the day-to-day implementation of the project with focus on quality outcomes;
  • Daily management of assistants and participants;
  • Meeting operational standards by contributing to strategic plans and reviews;
  • implementing production, productivity, and resolving problems;
  • Identifying system improvements in coordination with management
  • Submit any required items to Project Supervisor;
  • Follow up on maintenance officer and ensure all assets are ready for service delivery;
  • Ensure correct and efficient use of resources;
  • Ensure proper scheduling and coordination of staff, assets and beneficiaries
  •  

     

    1. Project Reporting
  • Submit daily and weekly reports to Technical Coordinator and Project Supervisor;
  • Submit weekly plans of beneficiary and assistant’s schedules;
  • Prepare meeting minutes of any attended meetings;
  • Archive safely the attendance sheet of participants and asset sheet;
  • Coordinate with external visitors to ensure proper reporting;
  • Work closely with the Application Officer and Technical Operator to improve the service provided;
  • Communicate systematically to the Technical Coordinator and Project Supervisor on project progress and planning.

    1. Field supervision
  • Ensure proper monitoring of all participants’ engagement activities
  • Responsible for all the assets procured and stored at the work space
    1. Accountability to Communities and Beneficiaries
  • The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring that all relations with the communities we work are conducted in a respectful and consultative manner.  Due attention must be paid to ensuring that communities are adequately consulted and informed about the program objectives, activities, beneficiary selection criteria, and methodologies.  This is the responsibility of every staff member.

     

  • Knowledge, skills
  • At least 1-year experience of management;
  • Experience in client and service management (hospitality, etc);
  • Fluent in Arabic, with written and verbal English skills and the ability to work in an international context;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills;
  • Knowledge of solid waste management systems and processes considered an asset;
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
  • Highly motivated and with a desire to work with local communities;
  • Ability to work with culturally diverse groups of people;
  • Excellent knowledge of Greater Beirut area.
