AMIDEAST/Lebanon is looking for a short-term Data Expert consultant to work on an education-related project.
This role will support the team’s work with data systems. Working with the education data expert, this role will work to develop and implement appropriate guidelines and policies on: a) data sharing and access; b) data protection; and, c) data security.
The consultant will work in a manner that clearly demonstrates a nuanced understanding of
the different roles regarding data collection, management and usage.
The total number of days required for this consultancy is 75 days (between September 2018 and January 2019).
Required Qualifications:
-Expertise working with Education Management Information Systems (MIS) or equivalent systems in other sectors.
-At least 10 years’ experience in work designing data infrastructure and implementing large scale data systems, ideally including work on government management information systems.
-Extensive experience mapping and analyzing government data systems, including the use of data in decision-making at institutional, departmental and individual levels.
-Previous experience ensuring high levels of data security and devising appropriate protocols for data protection.
