School Rent Payment Expert Consultant

AMIDEAST/Lebanon is looking for a short-term School Rent Payment Expert Consultant to work on an education-related project.

The main job responsibilities will include the following:

-Review the rent process payments pertaining to public schools with appropriate directorates.

-Communicate with different departments/units/officers appointed with the rent dossier inside PPD.

-Consolidate rent data coming from different sources.

-Organize and present structured rent data to DG and different directorates.

-Identify different technical, administrative and financial problems underpinning the rent dossier of public schools at PPD.

-Review of different laws, policies and regulations managing the rent process of public schools.

-Design a standard procedure/process/business flow for the public school rent operations.

-Advise on the design of a dashboard allowing the DG and other directorates/officers to tack public schools rent.

-Identify linkages to broader financial planning, as school rent is one of the key cost drivers.

-Perform other duties that deemed necessary.

The total number of days required for this consultancy is 60 days (between August and November 2018).

Required Qualifications:

-Advanced degree in finance, education management or any other related field.

-At least 10 years’ experience in working in schooling systems or in the government regulation and management of schools.

-Knowledge of the current structure and challenges facing the education system in Lebanon.

-Demonstrated ability to run productive dialogue at government senior level.

-Strong leadership skills and team management abilities.

-Strong public presentation and communication skills in Arabic is a must, and either English or French.

-Ability to work with people from different background and contexts.

-Ability to work under pressure with little supervision.
