Facilitaor / Child Protection Assistant

Scope of Work:

- Facilitation of community mobilization activities on basic CP and GBV key messages.
- Provision of support groups’ sessions for Lebanese and Syrian caregivers to be delivered at community level, UNICEF tents at ITSs or in YNCA’s premises.
- Provision of community - based Psycho-Social Support (PSS) activities for vulnerable Lebanese and Syrian children at Child Friendly Spaces (CFSs).
- Facilitating community initiatives on CP and GBV issues.
- Safe identification and referral of children and adults at medium or high risk of CP violations to Focused PSS program or to other case management agencies.
- Referral of adolescents dropped out from schools to UNICEF youth programs.
- Outreaching for the Back to School campaign and referrals of children and adolescents to formal and non-formal education programs.
- Performing other duties as required for the effective operation of the project.
- Reporting.

Requirements:

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and achieve deadlines under pressure.
- B.A., preferably in the social sciences or other field relevant to the position.
- Proven experience with office related tasks.
- Good computer skills and proficiency in word and excel processing (English and Arabic typing skills).
- Ability to collaborate with other staff members.
- Ability to work with persons with different cultural backgrounds.
- Maintaining confidentiality.
