Under the overall guidance of the M&E manager, the M&E officer will be responsible for the monitoring and ensuring high quality and timely inputs, and for ensuring that the project maintains its strategic vision and that its activities result in the achievement of its intended outputs in a cost effective and timely manner.
The M&E officer will be responsible for designing and implementing the M&E activities of the project; assisting the M&E manager in preparing monthly/quarterly/annual reports on project progress and will monitor the project activities on a regular basis, developing and maintaining the management information system of the project and will be responsible for the collection & analysis of different data in relation to the project activities.
Duty Details:
• Participate in drawing up intervention strategies in the field of project monitoring and evaluation and implement them
• Make suggestions and participate in the development of new tools in his/her field of activity
• Regularly communicate with his/her manager about the progress of his/her activities and problems encountered
• Lead, advise, support and supervise the members of the team under his/her responsibility in the implementation of its missions (definition of team and individual objectives)
• Regularly exchange information with his/her manager
• Participate in regular meetings with the teams and within the delegation
• Provide technical support or whatever support is required at the time
• Be responsible for his/her own continuing training to develop his/her skills
• Participate in training project staff to use questionnaires and/or enter data
• Participate in organising training on the tools and techniques connected with his/her field
• Support project leaders in drawing up monitoring-evaluation reports
• Participate in writing the quarterly or circumstantial reports on the conducted activities and submit them to the M&E Manager.
• Support the department in the implementation and conduction of M&E activities (FGDs, assessments, surveys…).
• Assist with the periodic statistical reports: monthly/quarterly or annual according to requirements
• Setting standards for the quality of reporting and produce high-quality reports (impact-oriented)
• Carries out assessments and analyses of the reports submitted and takes measures to improve services
• Analyse the relevance and feasibility of the project objectives
• Define the indicators and evaluate their monitoring
• Assess the quality of the evaluation/survey tools implemented
• Support the project leaders with their planning and the writing of new projects
• Copes with business trips for a mission in the field and is well organized for them
• Respects the Tdh Child Safeguarding Policy (CSP) and its principles of child protection, ensurithe policy’s implementation and prompt notification of the CSP Focal Point with any information regarding potential breachs of the policy;
• Is aware of, abides by and promotes the practices and values set out in all other Tdh policies and procedures such as the Internal Regualtions, Standard Operating Procedures and other policies.
• Undertake all other duties that may be requested by the line-manager and that are compatible with the job.
