Leadership Team Building Consultant

The UNICEF Lebanon Country Office has gone through various major change exercises (upscaling and downscaling) in recent years, which also led to a new Country Management Team (CMT), consisting of approximately 20 senior managers (national and international) leading one of UNICEF largest country programmes. Senior managers operate in a fast-paced environment meeting demands from external and internal stakeholders, including large diverse teams.

The Lebanon Country Office (LCO) is organizing a senior management retreat in October to further build leadership skills through interactive teambuilding exercises focusing on skills such as communication, trust, stress management, change management and conflict management. The aim of the 1 1/2-day retreat is to provide the senior management team members with the opportunity to explore thinking preferences and work styles and further strengthen the recently created senior management team, while the focus of the programme will be more on developing leadership skills and strengthen the team spirit in the senior management team, through interactive teambuilding exercises.

For every child, Chance...

UNICEF LCO seeks to engage a professional individual consultant with proven experience in facilitating teambuilding activities and events, specifically focused on leadership development.

How can you make a difference?

You will conduct a pre-assessment, design, organize and manage and evaluate the event and offer optional follow up services.

Under the supervision of the Human Resources Manager and in consultation with the Head of Office, you will:

Familiarize yourself with UNICEF LCO organizational culture and current context;

Conduct a pre-assessment (e.g. survey) of expectations that would help design the activities and gage LCO culture;

Conduct assessment on thinking preferences to support self-assessment and team-coaching

Based on the assessment, propose the content, design and delivery of the activities and built-in sessions and prepare an agenda that reflects the proposed structure

Deliver one and a half day activities in the retreat at a designated location in an outdoor and indoor venue

Present a final report to highlight the areas worked on and what type of recommendations can the country office implement to encourage diversity within its culture.

Optional: offer team and individual coaching to senior management
