Assignment:
ACTED is launching a program, funded by the World Food Program (WFP), to train 300 Lebanese and Syrian participants in basic literacy, digital literacy and Basic Digital Literacy language over a period of four months. The trainer is responsible delivering the Basic Digital Literacy courses to the participants, and for coordinating, reporting and overseeing the overall implementation of Basic Digital Literacy courses.
Functions
Training and curriculum development
- Review current curriculum for the Basic Digital Literacy training.
- Provide a high standard of training sessions, ensuring that the course is interactive and accessible for participants
- Provide Basic Digital Literacy language training that caters for 25 beneficiaries per session in the Beirut area
- Provide training ten days a month based on pre-defined schedule by the Project Manager, consisting of two four hour sessions per day (am and pm shift)
- Record and evaluate effective training activities
Reporting
- Register daily attendance of trainees
- Follow up and report the number of sessions provided
- Provide weekly reports to Project Manager updating on training progress Basic Digital Literacy courses.
- Provide weekly work plan to the Project Manager
- Monitor and track training feedback from trainees.
Coordination
- Coordinate with Training Officer and Project Manager with all updates related to the implementation process
Target audience and profile
- The trainings will be delivered to mixed groups (Syrian and Lebanese)
- Beneficiaries’ selection will be carried out by ACTED as in reference to WFP’s targeting criteria.
The Trainer will be remunerated on a monthly basis according to the daily attendance signature list signed by the trainer, confirmed by the training officer and approved by the Program Manager and the HR manager.
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience in teaching and curriculum development;
- Patience and positive attitude required
- Ability to provide explanation to trainees when necessary.
- Strong and committed interest in teaching and training, with extensive previous experience in conducting training.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent command of written and oral English and Arabic.
- Good Presentation skills.
- Understanding of aspects related to group dynamics and personal psychology.
