We are searching for…
A consultant to work for a 2-month period to produce a “Tip sheet” as part of a 12-month project entitled “Peace Pioneers-Phase II” that aims to stimulate engagement between CSO and private sector partners for sustainable long-term peace. In this second phase, Search will build on the relationships that have been created between CSOs and the private sector to continue stimulating engagement between the two and provide them with space where they can collaboratively affect positive change in Lebanon. In order to address the challenges that arise while forming potential partnerships, Search will create a Tip sheet that CSOs and companies can use to engage with each other. The tip sheet will build on the “Dos and Don’ts” of initiating partnerships identified in the Peace Pioneers research from Phase I, as well as best practices, and lessons learned through Phase II. The aim of the tip sheet is to help CSOs and private sector actors to engage with each other in a more constructive and effective way. The benefits of using these tips to create effective partnerships.
The Tip sheet to be created to recognize that engaging actively with the private sector on a peacebuilding topic will help the sustainability of the Peacebuilding organizations in Lebanon toward a peaceful community. We understand that unique challenges arise when CSOs engage the private sector as genuine partners and want to increase their understanding of how to do this more effectively. The Tip sheet will work as a tool to improve the skills and capacity of peacebuilding CSOs so that we are more successful and consistent in private sector engagement. Finally, Peace Pioneers want to prioritize private sector engagement, and a complementary market-driven approach, as a way to leverage resources to achieve sustainable Development Goals.
Audience
The primary audience of the Tip sheet will be the project participants from the Private Sector and CSOs. Search, and the Swiss Embassy will use the findings to inform and strengthen their current and future programs. The secondary audience will be the peacebuilding community and the private sector at large.
