The trainers will oversee the following tasks:
- Participate in 5 days training of parenting trainers.
- Participate in the development of training curriculums in Arabic and the delivery of trainings in the fields of Early Childhood Development or Mental Health.
- Coordinate the training implementation in community centers.
- Support other trainers trainings upon request.
- Work closely with the ECCD Program Manager to implement, and document the training programs
- Prepare and share all training materials, power point presentation, and all provided handouts with the ECCD Program Manager.
- Communicate with the coordination team all challenges, recommendations and lessons learnt.
- Report the progress of the program through monitoring and reporting forms provided by ARC.
- Work closely with the research team.
- Attend follow up meetings with ARC/ECCD program staff and training team when needed.
- Facilitate 21 HEPPP sessions per group of parents (16 parenting sessions and 5 PSS sessions)
- Rate parents’ level of engagement and participation.
- Write progress and final English reports.
Requested Profile:
- University degree in ECD, Social Work or Psychology, or any relevant field. Masters degree is a distinctive advantage
- 1-2 years of experience in performing capacity building, action plans, training sessions, development projects, preferably in the ECD and MHP sectors.
- Good knowledge on PSS, family dynamics, developmental stages, communication skills, strategies for implementation of activities
- Good skills in reviewing and adapting existing curriculums
- Good skills in delivering training sessions - workshops, supporting senior management and field staff
- Creativity, innovation and promising practices
- Good writing, data collection/analysis and presentation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Professional working knowledge of English and Arabic is required. French is an asset
- Good coordination and team work skills
- Good organizational, resource-management, and time management skills.
- Ability to plan, stay on track and help others do the same; find and use resources; and make the most productive use of available time.
- Engage with others to share ideas and solve problems so that the training programs they provide meet participants’ needs and the organization’s goals.
