Johanniter International Assistance

About
Johanniter is a German international non-government and non-profit humanitarian agency. For more than ten years Johanniter International Assistance has been active in the Middle East, striving to meet the growing need for humanitarian assistance in the region. Johanniter maintains a regional office in the Jordanian capital Amman, which coordinates and supports operations throughout the region which are implemented in close cooperation with local/national partner organizations. Johanniter programs are focused on sectors of Health, Psychosocial Support, Child Protection, Non-Formal Education, Core Relief Items and Persons with Disabilities. Since 2012, Johanniter is taking part in the Syria humanitarian response both inside Syria and in the neighboring countries of Lebanon, Jordan and Iraq. Johanniter also works with partners in Palestine. Johanniter is an active member in UN and National sector working groups for Health and Education, as well as the Syria INGO Regional Forum (SIRF).
