LCEC (The Lebanese Center for English and Computer) Manager

The Manager of the LCEC (The Lebanese Center for English and Computer) sets the business plan and budget for the Center and monitors and directs all courses offered, ensuring alignment to all approved objectives and targets to achieve high performance in terms of growth, efficiency, effectiveness and achievement of the Institute’s vision and mission.

-Set the overall strategy and direction of the Center in coordination with the LOST’s
Director. 
- Prepare the business plan and annual budget for the Center in line with the
Institute’s guidelines in order to meet the overall objectives of the Institute
and LOST.
- Develop course curricula in coordination ensuring that the courses offered
meet the standards and requirements of the Institute. 
- Monitor, coordinate, plan, and organize the overall activities of the Center,
which include curriculum activities and approval of books and materials for
teaching.
- Develop and maintain the Language Center’s culture and reputation amongst
staff, students and regulatory/official bodies to ensure that the Language
Center as well as the Institute continue to set high standards within the
community and internationally.
- Oversee and monitor the activities of language teachers and the delivery of
language courses, and take action in connection with any required improvements
to ensure that all teaching is delivered to the highest of standards.
- Oversee and approve the schedules and timetables for courses, ensuring that
they are adequately planned.
-  Teach language courses to students,
ensuring that they are prepared for any exanimations and fulfill the
requirements of the course syllabus and curriculum.
- Develop the admission and evaluation process for entry exams and
prerequisites for the different language courses and participate in their implementation
in line with best practice.
-  Prepare and regularly update teaching
materials to ensure course outlines are up-to-date and reflect the learning
objectives of the syllabus adequately.

-Provide regular progress reports on activities and developments relating to the Center
to LOST’s Director for review and decision making.
- Recommend training courses, information sessions, workshops and
conferences to enhance the capabilities of teachers by providing them with appropriate
tools and skills.
- Participate in the hiring and evaluation of language teachers
and other staff, ensuring fairness and equality and that the Center acquires
the required skills.
- Monitor and manage the Center’s operational compliance with LOST’s
policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
- Address any issues that may arise in relation to students,
ensuring their timely resolution and that the appropriate action is taken.
- Attend and represent the Center in local, regional and
international conferences as well as with similar institutions and develop and
maintain strong relationships for future collaboration and development of the Center. 
- Keep abreast of and adopt current teaching methodologies to ensure
students are taught in the best possible manner.
