Illustrator/Graphic designer

I. Summary

 IOCC is looking for an Illustrator/Graphic Designer who will be responsible for creating original illustrations for lesson plans in a nutrition curriculum for students from KG1 till Grade 9 in Lebanese public schools. The illustrator/designer will collaborate with IOCC staff to design attractive child-friendly sketches depicting various nutrition-related topics, with meeting quality standards.

 

II.        Responsibilities and Essential Functions

• Prepare illustrations that serve the objectives of the pre-developed lesson plans
• Combine hand-drawing and painting with digital media to create complete illustrations
• Receive feedback on illustrations at various stages of development, and complete them accordingly
• Refine designs using illustration software
• Ensure that final illustrations meet quality and color standards and are in compliance with printing

 

III.       Qualifications

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

• Solid knowledge of image editing and digital sketching software
• Creative drawing skills with attention to details
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Accuracy and attention to details
• Ability to work closely with others in a team environment
• Ability to achieve results and meet deadlines in a demanding, pressured and fast-paced environment

 

Experience:

• 1 to 2 years work experience or track record portfolio
• Previous experience in NGOs and humanitarian field is an advantage.
