Driver

Main Duties and Responsibilities

1. Responsible of delivering transportation services to staff, volunteers and experts on daily bases;
2. Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle, checks fuel, oil, water, battery, brakes, tires, front/rear lights, etc., performs minor repairs and arranges for other repairs and ensures that the vehicle is kept clean and mission ready;

3. Logs all trips, daily mileage, fuel consumption and purchases, oil changes, greasing, etc.
4. Assists and advises junior drivers on vehicle maintenance and driving skills;
5. Advises supervisor of the need for servicing and maintenance of vehicles;
6. Drives members of the team and other officials;
7. Meets Islamic Relief personnel at the airport and facilitates immigration and customs formalities;
8. Collects and delivers mail or documents when required;
9. Ensures that the steps required by rules and regulations are taken in case of involvement in accident

Experience / Education/Skills- Essential      

• Minimum 1 – 2 years of relative experience, preferred with international NGOs.
• Strong communication, interpersonal & technical skills.
• To be ready to work overtime.
• Having valid Driving License

Ability To

• Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.

Language                                                                            

• Fluent in Arabic (written and spoken).
• Basic knowledge in English language

General Skills                                                   

• Strong planning, communications and coordination skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and within a team.
