General Responsibilities:
● Coordinator will be responsible for the project in Qobbeh and its surrounding streets
● Responsible of the outreach and in recruitment of the committee members with the Program Manager and HR team in coordination with the Centre Manager
● Preparing the rooms where the workshops, trainings and meetings will take place
● Ensure that all the committee members recruited are well trained, and support them on a technical level when needed
● Supervise the performance of committee members in planning, preparing, implementing and evaluating community based initiatives that will help decrease tensions between different communities in Qobbeh and its surrounding streets
● Establish and maintain a monthly and weekly work plan with the centre and technical managers which will include weekly monitoring meetings
● Create and update activity plans per sub-intervention activity and communicate the targets, intervention objectives and activity plans clearly to the line managers
● Collect all lesson plans and provide a monthly report to the centre and technical manager
● Establish and conduct meetings with local stockholders for the benefit of the program
● Participate in all peacebuilding and social cohesion working groups conducted by international and local partners
● Assess trainings needs of the team, and identify suitable trainings conducted by international and local partners for their participation
Responsibilities with the Protection team:
● Ensure that all the staff recruited are familiar with B&Z’s Code of Conduct and protection standards
● Able to identify at-risk cases/committee members and refer them (if needed) to the protection focal point in the center
● Ensure that all the referral pathways and referral cases are well documented, complying with confidentiality and ethical standards
Responsibilities with the Monitoring and Evaluation team:
● Ensure that all data related to the project is documented, available and organized upon the request of the program or M&E team.
● Ensure that participants attendance are documented on daily basis
● Ensure that the feedback from both the committee members and the audience of the interventions are documented and available upon request
Responsibilities with the Finance and procurement team:
● Create and update up to date procurement plans and ensure all the materials are ordered and delivered to the staff working in specific locations in a timely manner
● Ensure that all of the tasks related to the HR, Finance, and logistics are in line with B&Z policies and procedures
● Maintain the proper filing and archiving of project activities, including periodic computers back-up and legal papers
Responsibilities with the center manager:
● Ensure that the work plan meets the objectives, targets and timeline of the project through coordinating with operation teams
● Set and sustain positive partnerships with active actors in the field for the benefit of the program
● Ensure that all communications with the team are in line with B&Z values
● Ensure that all communications with beneficiaries, partners, and donors are in line with B&Z values
● Ensure and sustain positive relationship with the municipality of Tripoli
● Attend and active participation in the meetings on administration level in the community center as needed
● Provide positive contribution to B&Z community centre
● Ensure that the workshops and trainings are scheduled according based on clear schedule and suitable timing in coordination with the centre manager
● Ensure that all the targets and number of beneficiaries are met in coordination with the center manager
Any other related tasks as per request of the center manager in terms of operations, or the program Manager in terms of technicalities.
Experience required (ALL off the points below are a must):
- 3 to 5 years in community/social work
- 2 to 3 years in peacebuilding initiatives or community based interventions (Coordination and supervision)
- Well-connected in the Qobbeh region with stakeholders, key persons, organizations, institutions and working groups
- Knowledgeable about the culture and history of Qobbeh
- Trained in Peacebuilding and/or social cohesion
- Trained in Peace Education or PSS and able to support the team, as well as solve and mitigate tensions between team members.
