DATA COLLECTOR FOR CHILD LABOR SITUATION ANALYSIS

Aim of position:

Support the data collection to carry out a situation analysis on child labor in South Lebanon and Nabattieh

Data collection and Reporting:

  • Data collection through key informant interviews, focus group discussions, surveys etc.
  • Ensure quality and accuracy of data collected on the field and the serious follow-up of available guidelines
  • Respect the plan set and raise and concern or challenges that may affect the capacity to meet expected results.
  • Provide narrative and data analysis reports as required and directed by the CL situation analysis Team Leader and the consultant or other relevant staff
  • Participate  in regular internal coordination and external meeting to serve the project objective.
  • Support in data encoding into excel or word when needed
  • Using project monitoring tools and send it to Data Entry within the dead line. 
  • Report immediately on achievements or difficulties faced on the field

Neutrality and Impartiality:

  • Ensure that the situation analysis is non-biased, neutral and inclusive of all actors present in the Lebanese context.
  • Ensure an efficient and respectful external coordination with all stakeholders in link with the situation analysis.

Confidentiality and Archives: 

  • Ensure that all relevant information is contained within beneficiaries’ files, respecting principles of confidentiality and dignity. 
  • Refer important information  to other actors in the CP/GBV network. 

Organisationnel Policies: 

  • Respects the Tdh Child Safeguarding Policy (CSP) and its principles of child protection, ensuring the policy’s implementation and prompt notification of the CSP Focal Point with any information regarding potential breaches of the policy;
  • Is aware of, abides by and promotes the practices and values set out in all other Tdh policies and procedures such as the Internal Regulations, Standard Operating Procedures and other policies. 
  • Undertake all other duties that may be requested by the line-manager and that are compatible with the job.

 

Position requirements:

 Education: Preferably Bachelor degree in Social Science, Social Work, or relative.

Language skills: Fluent in Arabic and English (speaking/reading/writing)

Work experience: Two year experience in data collection and carrying out assessments preferably in the non- profit sector, with previous experience in facilitating Key Informant interviews as well as Focus Groups Discussions

 Proven computer skills: Knowledge of the MS office software (including Word, Excel, Outlook)

Knowledge & skills:

-           Good analytical and writing skills

-           Very good team spirit

-           Task and deadline oriented

-           Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills

-           Well organized and self-motivated

-           Ability to work under pressure

Other:

-           Good understanding of the Lebanese, Syrian, and Palestinian context

-           Good knowledge of the area (Saida, Tyre, Nabatye and Bent Jbeil)

-           Valid driving license
