Mouvement Social (MS) has been working since 1961 towards sustainable development over all the Lebanese soil in a secular and nondiscriminatory approach. It aims to build a fair and humane society, to improve the citizenship and autonomy of the underprivileged through socio-economic development projects and to implicate Lebanese youths in the development and improvement of their society. Mouvement Social works to build social support networks as well as empower individuals to engage in the wider community. MS does not simply intervene on behalf of its beneficiaries to improve their access to their rights; it mainly works to increase societal awareness of social issues and lobbies decision makers (lawmakers) to promote policies that take into consideration the basic rights and needs of the underprivileged.  Programs tackles alphabetization and education; youth socioeconomic empowerment; prevention and protection for children, youth and women; as well as support of local develop and citizenship with municipalities. MS action is implemented through 12 centers (Halba, Tripoli, Zahleh, Kfar Zabad, Bourj Hammoud, Sin El Fil, Jnah, Ghobeiry, Nabatiyeh, Saïda, Roumieh prison, Barbar El Khazen prison), working directly with the local communities and local authorities in coordination with the headquarters in Badaro.

 

Description of the Tasks:

Job Mission: The Communication Manager is responsible of the design of the MSL communication strategy in close cooperation with the Executive responsible, the centers responsible and program managers. He or she is in charge of the implementation and the follow-up of all activities related to internal and external communication.

Ensure development and execution of the communication plan, campaigns. Oversee internal and external communication activities from creation to production to completion.

 

Develop unique concepts and communication tools ideas for print and online material. Manage MSL communication archive. Prepare statistics and reports submit proposals when requested.

 

Organize and participate to relevant events. Manage the internal and external communications, media presence, website, brochures, surveys etc.

 

Monitor and change campaigns and communications tools and practices as per rules and regulations to ensure effectiveness, coordinate yearly surveys for beneficiaries and staff and keep abreast of market trends

 

Maintain external relationships with professionals (media, press, TV, Radio specialized expertise)

 

Liaison with MSL network: connect with MSL alumni, elders and supporter. Suggest innovative ideas to strengthen the internal communication and to dissimulate success stories and inspiring initiatives.

 

Report periodically:  and ad hoc to Executive Responsible on essential matters and activities related to the unit and formulate recommendations on how to improve processes and simplify them.

 

Requested Profile

 

Education/Years of Expertise:

 

Master’s degree in communication, multimedia, PR, journalism or relevant discipline with minimum 7 years of experience in communication, including 3 years of experience at managerial level.

OR

Bachelor’s degree in communication, multimedia, PR, journalism or relevant discipline with 10 years of experience in communication including 5 years of experience at managerial level.

 

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of printing and digital design process
  • Excellent knowledge of web and print-based material,
  • Strategic planning in communication
  • Knowledge of the last trends and principles of the communication industry,
  • Rules and regulations that govern MSL work
  • MSL work processes
  • Marketing knowledge is a plus,
