Web Development Trainer

Functions

Main responsibilities

• Provide 120 hours of Web Development skills using HTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT, PHP, WORDPRESS and HOSTING at Social Development Center mentioned above as per the curriculum given by ACTED (see below Annex A – Table of Content)
• Provide training sessions of 3 to 4 hours long for each session to a mixed group of 15 beneficiaries based on pre-defined schedule by the Project Manager
• Monitor and track training feedback from beneficiaries
• Provide record and evaluate effective training activities
• Review and evaluate tests/assignments completed by beneficiaries
• Provide ad-hoc support to beneficiaries through answering questions, providing additional resource materials etc.

Reporting

• Register daily attendance of beneficiaries as per the attendance sheet provided by ACTED team
• Follow up and report the number of sessions provided and report to the training coordinator/Project Manager
• Provide weekly work plan to the training coordinator/Project Manager
• Provide weekly reports to training coordinator/Project Manager updating on training progress for the SDC for IT courses

Coordination

• Coordinate with SDC Director and Project Manager with all updates related to the implementation process

Target audience and profile

• The training will be delivered to mixed groups aged 18-45 with at least basic literacy and numeracy
• Beneficiaries’ selection will be carried out by ACTED team

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor degree in Web Development or related fields
• Previous experience in teaching and/or conducting trainings
• Patience and positive attitude is highly requested
• Ability to provide explanation to trainees when necessary
• Excellent command of written and oral English and Arabic
• Strong communication skills
• Good Presentation skills
• Understanding of aspects related to group dynamics and personal psychology
