Expert in vegetable plantation

Purpose of the consultancy

SDA/IECD seeks an expert to design and deliver technical training to farmers in main pests and diseases as well as plantation of origanum syriacum in Knaysseh, Akkar.

At the end of the training, the farmers will be able to:

1. Identify the pests;
2. Learn best practices on vegetables plantation;
3. Learn about the main diseases in vegetable plantation;

Requirements

The Consultant/trainer should possess the following competencies, and experience:

• Strong expertise in vegetable farming;
• Strong understanding of the farming status in Akkar;
• Previous experience in designing and conducting training;
• Patience and positive attitude is highly requested;
• Strong communication skills;
• Command of spoken and written Arabic, English and/or French
