Solar Photovoltaic Expert

Institut Européen deCoopération et de Développement (IECD) is a French non-governmental organization founded in 1988 and operating in the field of social and economic development in partnership with local institutions. IECD’s main sectors of action are vocational training and professional integration, assistance to micro and small enterprises and access to education and health for the most vulnerable.

In Lebanon, IECD has been operating in the country since 1994 and it opened a regional office in Beirut in 2007.

Semeurs d’Avenir is a Lebanese association, created in 2010, registered under the number 1905. It is the operational partner of IECD in vocational and professional training.

IECD and Semeurs d’Avenir have a combined team of about thirty members and are running ten projects since 2016.

IECD launched a new project, funded by UNDP, titled “Enhancing Youth Employability within Solar Photovoltaic Sector in Lebanon”.  UNDP has prioritized renewable energy, more specifically photovoltaic (PV), as a key sector to be supported in the coming years, with the dual benefits of a positive environmental impact as well as potential for job creation.

IECD is looking for an expert in Solar Photovoltaic to review the curriculum and prepare a technical training curriculum by using the competence-based approach method.

Required skills and competencies:

• At least five years experience in training or working in PV systems   
• Knowledge of the PV sector in Lebanon
• Experience in building a technical training curriculum
• Initiative and ability to work independently
• Sharp sense of responsibilities
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent training skills (training of trainees, coaching, …)
• Good communication skills, able to represent the project to trainees and MSMEs
