Terms of Reference National Consultant in Lebanon

Project: QUDRA - Resilience for Syrian refugees, IDPs and host communities in response to the Syrian and Iraqi crises

Assignment: outreach to companies in North Lebanon for the placement of trainees

Language: Arabic & English

Location: North Lebanon (Tripoli & Batroun) and frequent travel to Beirut and other locations upon request.

Assignment

The assignment will focus on conducting outreach to companies including following: 
- Familiarize with the profile of the technical institutes and the competency based curriculum in painting and wall-papering
- Mapping of business environment in the construction sector in areas of the selected technical institutes (up to 20 km radius) in a excel based database
- Contacting through phone calls or emails identified businesses/companies & visiting them

Scope of Work

The activities to be undertaken will include:

• Critical examination of relevant project documentation (especially curricula)
• Visits to selected technical institutes, meetings with management, trainers and trainees upon request
• Mapping of the construction sector
• Visits to selected companies in technical institutes vicinity and identification of companies with internship opportunities
• Trainees placement for on-job-training in selected companies
• Structured meetings with Qudra SO2 action staff and others upon request
• Inform and consult project team
• Write mission report and provide required administrative deliverables
