Syrian crisis emergency response Lebanon- Bekaa valley Disability and Vulnerability Focal Point project

Disability & Vulnerability Focal Point (DVFP) have been developed based on the observation that one of the greatest difficulties following a crisis is not only to identify and to access to vulnerable people including people with disabilities, but also to accompany them without “losing” during the entire time of the emergency. To avoid these difficulties, the strategy that proved to be most relevant is the following: place in the heart of each affected community dedicated teams, and to inform any vulnerable person and/or with disability victim of the crisis, she/he can receive welcome and services. . Handicap International has been implementing a DVFP project in North Bekaa since May, 2012 and has extended it in West and Central Bekaa from mid December
