Biotechnology Unit Supervisor - Taanayel

General objectives & tasks:

1- Production monitoring of bio-pesticide and biogaz:

• Organize production: assign tasks by shift and machine, according to priorities and constraints.
• Oversee the production plan: supply, manufacturing, packaging, delivery.
• Participate in the determination of production objectives in terms of costs, deadlines, quality and quantity.
• Monitor indicators daily: objectives, costs, deadlines, quality of products.
• Control the application of procedures: safety, hygiene and environment procedures.
• React quickly to economic, technical and human dysfunctions.
• Deal with customers, suppliers and subcontractors’ incidents.

2- Optimization of production processes:

• Ensure installations are compliant with pre-set rules and procedures.
• Prevent internal risks related to quality; participate in updating the QHSE system (quality, hygiene, safety, environment).
• Provide technical advice in manufacturing.
• Participate in optimization projects or adaptation of production tools.
• Acknowledge the seriousness of facilities and vital spare parts and ensure they are kept in stock.

3- Management of the production team:

• Oversee and coordinate the activities of his team.
• Raise awareness and provide trainings to his team regarding quality standards, industrial and environmental safety regulations.
• Evaluate and define recruitment needs.
• Manage the workforce (absences, holidays, replacements, etc.).
• Conduct professional interviews, evaluation, training, etc.
• Promote the development of skills.

4- Potential activities:

• Ensure reporting of activities to his direct supervisor.
• Define, manage and monitor key performance indicators (KPI): volume of products and materials consumed, rate of malfunctions, scrap rate, etc.
• Develop quotations following customer orders, respond to specific customer requests.
• Ensure the creation of the product, define its manufacturing process while supervising its production, in alliance with the quality control laboratory.
• Supervise storage and shipping activities.

5- Quality control of production and laboratory work:

• Perform laboratory tests necessary for the quality control of bio-pesticides and biogaz products.
• Conduct physicochemical and microbiological tests on various samples of soil, water, etc.

Working schedule: Monday till Friday, 8 hours per day
