Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Assisting in the implementation and planning of the education project activities
- Communicating effectively with activators/ field assistants, partners & community based organization.
- Providing technical guidance and expertise regarding educational curriculum, life skills activities, active learning and class management.
- Providing technical guidance and expertise regarding psychosocial education activities and Child Protection.
- Assisting with the completion and submission of all required project follow up materials.
- Documenting project activities through both hard and soft copies.
- Organizing and delivering focused psychosocial activities in centers & informal tented settlements for children of different age.
- Facilitating and co- facilitating trainings in the communities and to activators/ field assistants.
- Maintaining professional interactions with line manager, activators and community contacts.
- Sharing responsibility, work cooperatively and communicate regularly with all members of the staff team.
- Preparing correspondence, presentation and/ or reports as required.
- Raise purchase requests for the projects’ materials upon the approval of the Education and PSS Program Officer.
- Perform any other task as assigned by the Education and PSS Program Officer/ line manager.
Child Protection Policy:

- Commit to respond to any child abuse concerns following the procedures and guidelines on dealing with child’s allegation or suspicion of abuse.
Person Specification
Experience / Education/Skills- Essential
- A bachelor degree of Education Science from an accredited University.
- Minimum 2 years of relative experience, preferred with international NGOs.
- Strong communication, interpersonal & technical skills.
- Educational program supervision
- Specialized training in Psychosocial Support, Gender based Violence, Class Management, Active Learning and Child Protection Policy.
Ability To
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Read, comprehend and interpret written materials of moderate to complex difficulty.
- Records management systems (both automated and paper files) to ensure accurate maintenance of files and ease of retrieval.
- Word-processing, spreadsheet and database software programs related to job functions.
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
Language
- Fluency in English & Arabic (written and spoken).
IT skills
- Proficiency in MS office and the ability to use software necessary for project management and reporting.
General Skills
- Excellent technical reporting skills.
- Strong planning, communications and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and promote team work.
- Diplomacy, tact & negotiation skills.
- Report writing skills.
- Having psychosocial support background and psychosocial first aid training
