Senior Behavioral Scientist

Responsibilities:

• Support in many aspects of policy experimentation, including, planning, designing, implementing and analyzing experiments and randomized control trials (RCTs);
• Assist in conducting literature review exercise on various relevant topics, and in developing interventions; 
• Coordinate and liaise with counterparts and beneficiaries in different projects to identify the policy challenges and design interventions;
• Prepare communication material and ensure that projects design meet beneficiary needs; evaluations are implemented as planned; timely and accurate data are analyzed and interpreted; and findings are distilled into policy briefs;
• Keep up with the latest findings and experiments on the application of behavioral insights into public policy through rigorous research;
• Conduct miscellaneous research support in the growing field of behavioral economics.

Qualifications:

• Experience in conducting policy trials and experimentation in a field setting, particularly RCTs is highly desirable;
• General knowledge of applied social and behavioral sciences is a plus;
• Readiness to work conjointly with public agencies and NGOs;
• Knowledge of statistical skills, including experience handling large data sets, and the ability to learn new statistical programming languages is an advantage;
• Experience working with R, STATA, SPSS, MATLAB, or E-Views is an added advantage.
