In partnership with UNICEF, AND is operating safe spaces in Akkar (static and mobile) for women and adolescent girls. These spaces provide holistic services focusing on psychosocial support, violence prevention, livelihoods strengthening and social cohesion to diverse vulnerable populations; Syrian and Lebanese.
The activity in question is a First Aid workshop
The trainer must provide 4 different First Aid workshops in Minyara, Hrar and Cheikh Ayach
The First Aid trainer is required to teach the basic skills of reaction, response, call for help and attention to minor injuries. Accordingly the training sessions/days shall include the following:
- Introducing the types of injuries most commonly encountered
- Providing the trainees with accurate information regarding emergency aid
- Demonstrating how first aid should be carried out
- Ensuring the entire group fully understands explanations
- Delivering presentations in an eloquent yet simple manner for students of all abilities to understand
- Demonstrating how to use equipment
- Managing records of course attendees
- Assessing First Aid capabilities of the group and awarding qualifications to those who have met the criteria and standards
Training locations: Sahel and Wade Khaled area /Akkar.
The trainer shall demonstrate the following:
*Ability to confidently manage and engage students of all ages in a positive learnin Experience in groups management and inducing team work
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills; must be personable and diplomatic in working with a diverse range of people
*Communicate information with enthusiasm, clarity and patience
*Ability to demonstrate, and communicate techniques clearly
*Understanding the difference between teaching children and teaching adults
Learning shall be provided over a 10 hours workshop over 3 days period.
