Composed of eight International organizations in Syria region, including four in Lebanon, the YOUTH RESOLVE YOUTH RESOLVE aims to strengthen youth resilience and empower youth as leading actors in post-conflict reconstruction in Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq and Turkey.
In Lebanon, Islamic Relief Lebanon is working in four different aspects (Cash/Food for Work, Psychosocial Support, Active Learning, Social Stability and Rehabilitation of CBC) in Saida City – South Lebanon.
Overall Responsibility
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate the activities according to the project strategy, budgets, plans and regional MEAL plan
- Ensure that procurement and distribution of the activities materials’ and equipment are timely and according to procedures
- Day-to-day follow up with project supervisor on the progress of the activities in the Community Based Centre.
- Submitting weekly and monthly plan reports to the MADAD Project Coordinator
- Support the project supervisor in preparing and monitoring the active learning and psychosocial support activators
- Support the project supervisor in setting the plans and schedule for the activators
- Ensure a safe and secure transportation services for children from Saida to the community center with all supporting documents
- Responsible for the youth training component (peacebuilding , conflict resolution and dram) and follow up with them to conduct micro projects related to the trainings
- Participate in the mitigation of problems between communities/children or youth when they arise
- Maintain and monitor the data entry for the project activities
- Liaise with local partners and community leaders to identify vulnerable individuals in areas of intervention mainly for events and open days
- Ensure archiving and Filing is up to the standards of IRL, and abide by the archiving policy.

- Adhere to IRL Child Protection Policy and committed to “do no harm”.
- Carrying out any other tasks assigned by the MADAD Project Coordinator.
Person Specification
Experience / Education/Skills- Essential
- A bachelor degree from an accredited University with major course Social Science or Related Field.
- Minimum 2 -3 years of relative experience, preferred with international NGOs.
- Strong communication, interpersonal & technical skills.
- To be ready to work overtime and readiness to travel.
Ability To
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Read, comprehend and interpret written materials of moderate to complex difficulty.
- Records management systems (both automated and paper files) to ensure accurate maintenance of files and ease of retrieval.
- Word-processing, spreadsheet and database software programs related to job functions.
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
Language
- Fluency in English & Arabic (written and spoken).
IT skills
- Proficiency in MS office and the ability to use software necessary for project management and reporting.
