Consultancy for the “My Community Project” Fund component of the GIZ-LEAD programme

In realization of the objectives of this assignment, the consultant shall work under the close guidance of the GIZ-LEAD team Lebanon and the local partner organization.

By understanding the LEAD Programme and the “My Community Project” Fund component through meetings with GIZ-LEAD, the partner NGO and carefully reading of all provided documents, the consultant shall undertake but not be limited to the following:

• Advise on possible members for the Advisory Committee
• Prepare the call for participation in the training on Proposal Writing and the forms to be filled by participants before, during and after the training (for submission of project proposals, to assess participant’s needs beyond this training – as women council members, etc.)
• Prepare the selection criteria based on which 12 project proposals will be selected to receive funding (and the submitters of these projects will be invited to attend a project cycle management), in close cooperation with GIZ-LEAD, the partner NGO and the Advisory Committee
• Attend one training on Proposal Writing and one training on Project Cycle Management that will be organized by GIZ LEAD for the “My Community Project” Fund component
• Prepare and adapt the selection criteria based on which the 12 community projects will be selected for funding
• Call for, prepare, facilitate and follow-up on the Advisory Committee meetings for sharing input and feedback about the call for participation, the project proposals and selection processes etc. (including preparing materials, needed documentation etc.)
• Communicate with the GIZ LEAD project staff for coordination and follow-up on all activities and deliverables
• A final report at the end, on the process and outcomes.
   

All steps and activities undertaken by the consultant require previous approval by, as well as continuous agreement with GIZ LEAD.
