Communications Specialist

I.            Summary of Position

The Communication Specialist will support the Director of Communication and Outreach in the implementation and monitoring of communications activities under TO 3 including sharing project benefits, challenges, and successes.

II.           Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of the CSP’s Communication and Outreach Plan under TO 3
• Support in the development of appealing and effective communication and media materials for social and traditional media channels such as press releases, success stories, social media posts (CSP Facebook page), etc.
• Support, when needed, in the graphic design of project materials.
• Write and support in the preparation of digital content such as invitations, flyers, etc.
• Contribute to CSP reporting requirements and deliverables such as quarterly reports, weekly reports and success stories.
• Contribute to the organization of events, workshops and meetings.
• Attended field activities when required and ensure proper documentation. 
• Support the Communications team in organizing, maintaining and safeguarding CSP’s communication material/library: videos, photos, reports, etc.
• Undertake other duties as assigned by the Communications and Outreach Director.

III.          Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in communication, graphic design, journalism or other relevant discipline
• Minimum of 5 years of experience implementing capacity building or other technically-relevant projects or programs
• Strong communication and writing skills and fluency in Arabic and English is required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in communications, digital advertising, and social media.
• Demonstrated creativity and experience in social media tools.
• Proficiency in MS Office required with graphic design and photo/video experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, interpersonal, communications, and teamworking skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction as well as with team members
• Hardworking, energetic, willing to learn and contribute toward the CSP project goal.

• Experience working on USAID or donor-funded programming
