III. Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Under the direct supervision of the PSS National Officer and the overall supervision of the Psychosocial Program Manager in coordination with the Emergency Response and Stabilization Coordinator, the selected candidate will act as team leader of a multidisciplinary psychosocial support team, operating within Dari Recreational and Counselling Centre for Families in Baalbek. In particular, the selected candidate will be in charge of the following tasks:
Provide daily coordination and supervision for the activities implemented by the PSS team, inside and outside (outreach, events, etc.) of the Centre;
Support mapping of existing psychosocial needs and contribute to psychosocial needs assessment;
Based on assessed needs, coordinate the design of age and gender appropriate psychosocial interventions for children, adolescents, adults and elderly vulnerable people;
Support the PSS team members through mentoring/coaching to ensure the quality delivery of PSS interventions and assess capacity building needs;
Identify volunteers, animators, activists, artists, etc. within the local community and help their mobilisation to support the activities of the Centre;
Monitoring quality of activities and adherence to best practice, performance and techniques, do no harm standards, and implementation of validated PSS methodologies;
Assure regular monitoring and evaluation of the activities through appropriate tools;
Assist the Centre in developing or reviewing PSS methodologies and tools;
Ensure the safe identification and referral of cases that require specific intervention in line with the Interagency guidelines;
Ensure that the activities are done in a clean, safe, quiet and comfortable location;
Ensure that all beneficiaries participate in the activities in a non-discriminatory as well as age and gender sensitive appropriate approach;
Ensure that participants are aware of IOM’s accountability/complaint mechanisms;
Support the effective inclusion of people with disabilities in the PSS activities;
Promote synergies and partnerships with the communities in the implementation area by identifying resources, actors, activities, events, etc.;
Perform any other relevant duty as may be assigned.
Administrative tasks
Support the daily administration of operations at the Centre;
Centralize and consolidate all information (reports, list of users, procurement requests, attendance sheets, invoices, etc.) gathered from the team ;
Collect the inputs of the PSS team members and elaborate weekly and monthly schedule of activities;
Organize regular team meetings and submit weekly/monthly report and program update;
Attend and participate in training and capacity building activities organized by IOM and other national and international partners;
