OBJECTIVE
The Project Coordinator provides support to the team through assessment, planning, monitoring and documentation, capacity building support (training and facilitation) and coordination with the local partners to implement the projects
DUTIES
Responsible for overseeing the development and execution of project deliverables, lead project planning, budgeting, action plans and monitoring processes
Ensure project activities comply with the policies and regulations of the donor organization
Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project
Plan and facilitate kick-off workshop with different departments, as well as coordinate partner meetings throughout the project period
Monitor the implementation and progress of the project according to approved stated objectives, work plan, budget and record progress by working closely with the Monitoring and Evaluation unit, and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project
Develop MEAL framework for the project, including measurable indicators, all means of verification and monitoring tools
Monitor the progress of the project against set indicators in a timely manner
Participate periodic evaluations of the impact of the project on the beneficiaries with support from the M & E unit
Monitor, evaluate and suggest changes and improvements in programme and materials based on observations and discussions with beneficiaries, partners, donors…
Manage all project funds according to established accounting policies and procedures; ensure that all financial records for the project are up to date
Work closely with the financial officer to prepare financial reports and supporting documentation for donors as outlined in funding agreements
Manage budget spending and forecast including tracking and managing spending per budget line
Ensure procurement requests are presented on a timely basis to facilitate timely implementation of field activities, ensuring cost efficiency and accountability in compliance with Caritas Lebanon and donor regulations and procedures
Prepare periodic project narrative and financial reports as well as other ad hoc reports, according to Caritas Lebanon and donor requirements
Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards
Develop teamwork among the project staff, ensuring a conducive working atmosphere is created and opportunities provided to share lessons learned, experiences, observations and challenges to inform the management and the donor
Conduct regular field monitoring visits to the project locations to provide support to the team and to ensure quality implementation, as well as peer-to-peer learning
Coordinate internally with finance, logistics, procurement, M & E Unit, HR and program development teams, ensuring a consistent approach to project design,implementation and close out.
Employ resourcefulness in project design, implementation and monitoring
Trouble shoots project problems, and identify and implement creative solutions
Represent Caritas in relevant forums/clusters, including with national authorities and donors as requested by HOD

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
Demonstrated experience in project coordination, project-level monitoring and evaluation, programme budgeting and programme development and design across a range of projects, as well as active management of diverse teams and cultures.
A minimum of 3 years of professional management experience, preferably in humanitarian context in Lebanon
