Senior HR Officer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

 

Ensure that existing Human Resource Policies, Procedures are updated in line with statutory requirements, good practice and the agreed review timetable and that new policies or procedures are introduced as necessary; Keep self and team up to date with employment law and relevant codes of practice; Ensure operational HR activities and processes are correctly followed and that the frontline HR team provide accurate and timely advice and guidance to managers; oversee and guide in the process of recruitment and selection of new staff by ensuring timely advertisement, screening, interviews, etc.- supervise maintenance of the personnel records in the office; supervise administration of the medical insurance plan; organize the necessary personnel and contractual documents for all coordination staff; ensure that all HR files are complete and updated; prepare NSSF HR files for staff, receive and review NSSF files from bases and transfer them to concerned party; prepare the HR files for audit and verification visits; maintain confidentiality of HR information; prepare staff contracts and amendments and ensure each staff is aware of contract terms & conditions; keep track of the staff leaves and update concerned tools accordingly; follow up on the evaluation/appraisals deadlines for staff and inform their managers accordingly; ensure the respect of termination procedures and prepare all necessary documents; update the coordination of organizational charts; ensure robust performance management systems are in place to ensure a culture of performance is embedded across Ana Aqra and that managers have clear procedures and support for managing performance i.e. attendance, disciplinary and capability; develop good practice, innovative Human Resource initiatives to assist Ana Aqra to achieve excellence and become an employer of choice. prepare the integration of any new employee, and make sure the managers are implementing the induction plan; Assist in identifying training institutions as per the determined needs; forward to line manager the identified skills to be improved that were reported in performance appraisals; update the concerned tools according to trainings received.

The post holder is required to understand and demonstrate the ability to work flexibly for the benefit of the HR team and for the business and to take on new projects and initiatives that are considered to fall within the duties and responsibilities of the job role.  

 Carry out any other duties as reasonably required by the Human Resources Manager.

Job experience: Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.

Knowledgeable about the Lebanese Labor Law and the provisions of the National Social Security law;

Computer skills: V.Good knowledge of the MS office software including Word, Outlook. Excellent in Excel.

Committed to engage in the humanitarian field;

Transversal skills:

 Well organized; Detailed-oriented; Autonomous; Able to take initiative to deal with difficulties encountered in daily work; Ability to adapt or change priorities according to the changing situation within a mission or the organization itself; Ability to work under pressure.
