Duty station: Beirut – Lebanon, with frequent travel to Saida and the Chouf
Duration: 9 months

Project Title: Building Resilient Communities in Lebanon: An Integrated Approach to Livelihoods and Income Generation for Vulnerable Populations
The collaboration will start in March 2019
Project Overview:
The project aims to create livelihood opportunities in a conflict-sensitive manner, leading to more jobs, income and resilient communities supporting the SDCs, MSMEs and organizing TVET, internships and on-the-job training.
Duties/responsibilities:
- The program manager reports to the Head of Mission.
- S/he is responsible for the entire project implementation.
- S/he will manage liaisons with the other NGOs involved in the consortium;
- S/he will manage liaisons with donor, local concerned authorities, private sector, civil society associations and other counterparts whenever required;
- S/He will directly plan programs activities (Vocational Training, Internship, Job Counselling components)
- S/He will directly coordinate the intervention with the other consortium members;
- S/He will responsible, in accordance with Consortium deadlines, of the project reporting (activities planning, monthly program progress and project final report);
- S/He will work in budgeting, forecast and control of financial flows and planning;
- S/He will directly be responsible of field staff recruitment and coordination;
- S/He will conduct necessary training /mentoring /coaching for project staff the team on an ongoing basis;
- S/He will guarantee that all the activities are in line with Donor, Consortium and Cesvi procedures and rules;
- S/He will actively participate to the Sector and Consortium Working Group;
- S/He will write new project proposals in coordination with HQ and the field.
Required Competencies:
– University-advanced degree in Social Sciences, political Sciences and related fields;
– At least 4 years of experience in managing and coordinating programs;
– Proven experience in working in consortium;
– Good communication and diplomatic skills, and demonstrated experience in networking and building effective partnerships;
– Capacity to work independently, strong strategic and creative thinking;
– Ability to make effective decisions under time pressure;
– Fluency in English.
Desirable Competencies:
– Previous experience in Livelihood, Vocational Training, Private Sector Engagement;
– Good knowledge of the area of intervention;
– Experience/knowledge of the Donor (Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation);
– Knowledge of Arabic.
