CALL FOR RESUMES- LEBANON COMMUNITY SUPPORT PROGRAM- WORK FORCE DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITY

Description:

Chemonics seeks technical TVET and SME development specialists and a program support manager for its expected Work Force Development (WFD) activity under the Lebanon Community Support Program (CSP) IDIQ. Under the CSP program, the Work Force Development (WFD) activity will provide technical assistance and other support to improve labor skills and employment opportunities through partnerships with the private sector, Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) organizations, municipal governments, other public sector entities, and the private sector. The main objective of this task order is to improve skills and employment opportunities, mainly for beneficiaries from vulnerable rural communities.

 

Qualifications for the TVET and SME Specialists positions:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • At least seven years working in the relief and development sector in Lebanon on projects funded by international donors (USAID experience preferred)
  • Experience working on technical vocational education and training (TVET), coaching and mentoring programs, and/or on-the-job training  (for TVET specialists candidates)
  • Experience providing technical assistance or grants to TVETs to improve TVET performance and revenue growth, with an overall focus on the end objective of improved sustainable job placements for students (for TVET specialists candidates) 
  • Experience establishing partnerships with private sector firms (SMEs) and other employers that has resulted in sustainable employment opportunities. (for SME development specialists candidates)
  • Experience working on workforce development and job placement programs with the private and/or public sector (for SME development specialists candidates)
  • Experience working across Lebanon, specifically vulnerable communities in the North, Beqaa and the South regions
  • Fluent Arabic and English speaking and writing skills

 

Qualifications for the Program Support Manager:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • At least five years working in the relief and development sector in Lebanon on projects funded by international donors (USAID experience preferred)
  • Experience providing support to TVETs, including grants technical assistance
  • Experience drafting statements of works and specifications for various services and material assistance to local partners, specifically TVETs and educational institutions
  • Experience working on internship and/or scholarship programs
  • Experience in managing evaluation and selection committee processes
  • Relevant sub-contract management experience
  • Solid understanding of the project management life cycle
  • Experience working across Lebanon, specifically vulnerable communities in the North, Beqaa and the South regions
  • Fluent Arabic and English speaking and writing skills
