Essential Job Functions: Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and oversees the development of projects from initiation to completion.
- Interpret fundamental donor regulations and requirements and apply them to specific situations for timely resolution to prime award issues.
- Identify and resolves project issues and implements improvement plans to ensure project stays on schedule and within budget.
- Provide technical guidance to project staff on tailoring interventions to community needs and context, adjusting as needed to changes in local dynamics.
- Ensure the technical quality of project activities, including those directly implemented by FHI 360 and those implemented by sub-contractors.
- Process and prepare all necessary documentation for sub-contractors, in collaboration with project personnel; and follow-through and complete all approval processes;
- Coordinate the sub-contractor development process, including due diligence activities and preparing sub-contractor packages (including developing project descriptions, budgets and budget narratives, negotiation memos, etc.).
- Supervise and support the Program Officers in the implementation of all activities;
- Maintain a successful sub-contractor monitoring and tracking system to quickly and easily assess the status and performance of each sub-contractor, including any implementation issues;
- Conduct, in collaboration with other staff, workshops, trainings, and/or provide hands-on operational technical assistance to sub-contractors and/or beneficiaries;
- Manage, supervise, and provide ongoing guidance and coaching to the sub-contractor team, including developing guidance material;
- Serve as the point of contact for sub-contractors; and
- Conduct site visits to observe sub-contractor activities as required.
MINUMUM REQUIREMENT STANDARDS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in international development or a related field;
- With Bachelor’s degree, 5-8 years’ experience working in or with the non-governmental sector, especially in project management experience
- Familiarity with FCO CSSF, or DFID, programming, rules and regulations highly desired;
- Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative team approach;
- Excellent communication and organizational skills; and
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
