Legal Advisor - Ministry of State for Displaced Affairs in Lebanon

Under the supervision and in collaboration with H.E. Minister of State for Displaced Affairs, and in Coordination with the Director, the Policy Advisor will perform the following tasks:

1. Stay up-to-date of political, social, economic and cultural developments that have an impact on the Syrian crisis environment.
2. Assist in providing comments on existing and draft legislation related to Syrian crisis.
3. Prepare a file compiling all legal documents related to the Displaced-Refugees in Lebanon.
4. Prepare an analytical report reflecting the legal procedures towards the displaced refugees in coherence with the International (UN) and Regional (Arab League) policies and procedures.
5. Provide legal advice and guidance on Syrian crisis issues to persons of concern and liaise with competent authorities.
6. Contribute to a country-level policy and plan.
7. Provide inputs for the development of global / regional international policies and standards related to Syrian crisis.
8. Intervene with authorities on Syrian Crisis issues.
9. Prepare all advises needed for legal files received by the Ministry.
10. Study and comment on the PCM agenda and advice the minister accordingly.
11. Participate in all meetings related to legal matters.
12. Coordinate with the Senior National Policy on all the needed interventions with national, regional and international stakeholders.
13. Analyze the implications of any legal or administrative decision on the constitution, human rights and sovereign dimensions.
14. Participate in enlightening the key messages related to the Policy and Strategic Action Plan.
15. Provide information and advice on range of related issues.
