Job Description
The Logistics Officer will work under the supervision of the direct manager and will be responsible for the preparation, planning and implementation of all logistical aspects of the program in close coordination with the staff.
Procurement:
- To manage procurement of goods, work and services essential to the project;
- Responsible for all purchases made for activity implementation insuring the highest quality with lowest price
- To keep updated records of inventory and assets or material bought within the project
- Responsible for logistical organization and preparation of activities
Office Management:
- Ensure the good coordination of maintenance of the office.
- Ensure the the existence of sufficient office material for daily use.
- Plan the request in advance for all stock material needs in offices.
Vehicle Maintenance & Management:
- Ensure the respect of the vehicle management procedure; log books, use of the vehicle.
- Ensure that regular maintenance on the different vehicle is done when needed by the rented car company.
- Handle transport follow up, and the follow up of fuel supply with fuel stations.
- Responsible for checking and monitoring the cars within the project.
- Monitor usage of vehicles in line with safety and security rules and report any concerns
Driver: The logistic officer shall also have the responsibility of a driver, to drive higher staff to and from location sites
Job Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in logistics
- Pays strong attention to detail, Strong time management skills, Communication skills, Ability to work well with others, Knowledge of logistics systems, Understanding of transportation limitations and regulations, Ability to contribute individually to greater goal, and Understanding of transportation issues
- Computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel and English language
- Possession of valid driver's license
