The intern responsibilities include:
- Supporting logistics of case management (scheduling interviews, case documentation, case follow up)
- Communicating with other organizations that provide support services for migrant workers and migrant domestic workers, collaborating on specific cases
- Researching policies and systems related to MDW/MW/refugee cases (i.e. UNHCR policies, referral services, legal issues)
- Writing case reports and summaries
- Conducting intake interviews and case visits
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Languages: Arabic and English required; French is a plus
Strong research and communication skills
General understanding of the situation of migrant workers / migrant domestic workers in Lebanon
Working knowledge of UNHCR processes and refugee status determination is a plus
Background or interest in case management, social work, or advocacy is a plus
Highly organized, able to work independently
Timeline:
Hours: 20/week minimum
Ideally 4+ month commitment
