Self-Reliance - Technical Skills and Literacy Trainings

RET LIBAN is an independent, neutral, non-religious, non-political, non-governmental local Lebanese Organization, affiliate to RET GERMANY.

RET Liban is committed to protecting communities by ensuring the resilience of vulnerable people, affected by displacement, violence, armed conflict and disasters.

RET understands how to work closely with local populations, recognizing local needs and assets and involving local actors to respond to the gaps and challenges in the sectors of education, protection (including sexual and gender-based violence), livelihoods and social cohesion.

Under the project "Prevention of Radicalisation and Violent Extremism in Lebanon," funded by  Federal Republic of Germany Foreign Office, RET Liban invites qualified NGOs, Universities, vocational institutes, Certified trainers, and private companies to submit separate proposals for the following services:

  • Service 1: English Language Course
  • Service 2: Basic Computer Literacy Course (Windows, Word, Excel)
  • Service 3: Finance (Simple Book Keeping)
  • Service 4: Vocational Training in various sectors and professions

Service 1: English Language Course

Provide 200 youth in Hermel with basic English course based on the details below:

  • Age between 18 and 25 years
  • 50% Syrians and 50% girls
  •  2 rounds, 3 days per round, 3 hours/day,

Service 2: Basic Computer Literacy Course (Windows, Word, Excel)

Provide 200 youth in Hermel with basic computer Literacy including Windows, Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Power Point based on the details below:

  • Age between 18 and 25 years
  • 50% Syrians and 50% girls
  • 2 rounds, 3 days per round, 3 hours/day

Service 3: Finance (Simple Book Keeping)

Provide 200 youth in Hermel with basic book keeping based on the details below:

  • Age between 18 and 25 years
  • 50% Syrians and 50% girls
  • 2 rounds, 2 hours per round

 

Service 4: Providing Vocational Training/ Employability Skills:

Provide 100 youth in Hermel with a vocational training. This training will primarily target vulnerable women and youth from Lebanese community, based on the details below:

  • On the job- training
  • Age between 18 and 25 years
  • 100% Lebanese and 50% girls
  • 5 days 4 hours per day
  • Vocational Trainings will be in the various sectors and professions i.e.:
    1. Photography
    2. Video editing
    3. Camera Man Assistant
    4. Mobile Phone Repair and Maintenance
    5. Multimedia Digital Storage Recovery
    6. Photocopier Technician
    7. Computer Maintenance Software/Hardware
    8. TOT Swimming
    9. Sous Chef ( preparation of food and drinks )

    10. Agriculture ( like grafting, soap making, drying fruits and vegetables, livestock animal feed…)

    11. Any other training programs your organization provide.

Provide 100 youth in Hermel with agricultural/ Construction/ Environment training. This training will primarily target vulnerable women and youth from Syrian Refugees community, based on the details:

  • On the job training
  • Age between 18 and 25 years
  • 100% Syrian and 50% girls
  • 3 days 3 hours per day
  • Vocational Trainings will be in the following sectors and professions:
    1. Agriculture: like grafting, soap making, drying fruits and vegetables, livestock animal feed…
    2. Environment like recycling etc…
    3. Construction skills

Selection Criteria:

Prices must be in US Dollars.

Cost must be detailed and for each service / target groups / area.

Suppliers must submit proof of similar experiences, pamphlets, brochures etc….

Suppliers must at least have 3 years of experience in similar programs and provide their number of graduates.

Training facilities and tools are the responsibility of the suppliers.

Selection will be based on the lowest offer considering technical specifications are met.

 

A Questions and Answers meeting will be held on June 11, 2019 at 12:30 a.m. at RET Liban Offices Shukri Shoucair Street, Geatawi, Ashrafieh, Beirut, Lebanon.
