Nursery Teacher

Jip & Janneke is a Montessori oriented Nursery, which provides to young children from 1 year and a half to four years old, a rich learning environment that enhances discovery, self-learning and autonomy.
It is an Integrated Nursery where a maximum of one-third of the children has hearing loss.

The Jip & Janneke educators are expected to the Learning Center for the Deaf's core values:  serving genuinly, humility, love and respect.

Full-time position: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 3:00 pm

Position Requirements:

• BA Degree in Education
• Excellent interpersonal skills, team spirit, sense of initiative, desire to learn, and flexibility.
• Fluency in Arabic and English.
• Has a friendly attitude, with parents, children and staff
• Demonstrates good communication and interpersonal skills
• Is a modest down to earth person ready to take instructions in a simple and humble manner while being open to different opinions and abiding by the program set at the LCD.
• Proactive and shows strong organizational and team working skills.
• Has passion for her work to be willing to give preparation for the work and personal growth enough time and attention
• Would fit in our family atmosphere, while being at the same time professional at work and able distinguish between professionalism and the caring and loving relationship she can have and give at the LCD
• Is willing to learn and apply the Montessori education
   

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepares and implements monthly plans with the other educators
• Meets regularly and effectively with the coordinator and the therapists working at the center.
• Observes and evaluates children's general development and coordinates with professionals 
• Is patient, and demonstrates ability to manage the learning environment, using appropriate methods.
• Creates and Maintains a safe and positive environment
• Works in harmony with team members.
• Shows self-motivation, professionalism and proactiveness.
• Attends workshops, and takes part in professional development opportunities.
