OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:

Under the supervision of the project manager, follow up on the referrals by accompany local suppliers in the assessment and provision of assistive devices for an enrolment and retaining in an inclusive education project.

 

Location: HI Beirut base with travelling inside the country to follow on referral

 

REPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibility 1: Being the focal point responsible of supporting the suppliers in providing quality services

Activities:

Service providers support and monitoring:

  • Facilitate the communication with suppliers, through being the focal point of the referred cases as per the needs.
  • Provide information and training (if needed) on the approaches, processes and quality of services implemented by HI most specifically in the Inclusive education project.
  • Ensure efficient referrals to the suppliers, based on close follow-up and prioritization of needs.
  • Identify potentiel technical resources required for the implementation of the plan and support their mobilization and contractualization in close coordination with the technical supervisor and project manager.
  • Follow up with the supplier the timeframe of each referral (time from assessment to delivery and therapy) and have it respected as per the contract
  • Follow-up and monitor the activities /services provided by the suppliers in line with the identified services criteria.
  • Organise case and evidence based meetings with the suppliers with the specialists at the suppliers with the involvement of the technical supervisor and project manager
  • Support the implementation of user-centered approach by providing information / training to the supplier’s team on caregivers’ interevention

 

Responsibility 2: Support the service provider in setting a tailored action plan to each child / youth referred

Activities:

Assessment and provision of Assitive devices:

  • Attend all assessments provided by the suppliers and support them in setting the child / youth treatment plan
  • Monitor the correct prescription and  the quality of assistive devices provided by the supplier
  • Together with the service provider, ensure that the caregivers receive all the relevant recommendations on the use of assitive devices
  • Together with the service provider, provide information sessions related to the situation of the child / youth to the caregivers when needed
  • Develop educational leaflets targeting caregivers to complement information sessions and increase families understanding the beneficiary’s situation and possibilities of progress and contribute to the progress with adapted home-programs.
  •  Develop family information/education tool and support local service providers in developing and enforcing caregivers rehabilitation trainings
  • Develop training plan , training materials and deliver trainings in the areas of expertise and organize all capacity bulding sessions planned under the project,
  • Provide guidance to different stakeholders teams in the identification of person with disability, needs for assistive devices and home adaptations.

 

Responsibility 3: Reporting, monitoring, evaluation.

Activities:

  • Provide monthly reporting on activities to the line manager.
  • Contribute to the monthly information sheet (MIS) by providing relevant data related to the position.
  • Provide constant feedback of the follow ups and updates to the database to measure the progress made
  • Participate in the analysis and reporting of issues / challendges faced by the beneficiaries with any supplier
  • Participate in lessons learnt analysis for adjusting methodologies
  • Identify and document the good practices (related to technical service provision) under the project with support of the technical supervisor
  • Identification of case studies and success stories to illustrate changes induced by the project and for communication use.

 

 

Note that this job description must remain flexible; to respond to additional tasks or changes as identified by the line manager.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

 

  • University degree in Psychology
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience as psychologist in disability / rehabilitation field, emergency or/ and development context
  • Experience in education projects or shcools is a plus
  • Fluent in English (writing and speaking)
  • Profession Practice’s Permission إذن مزاولة مهنة.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in clinical practice
  • Experience in coaching/mentoring
  • NGO experience in a similar position
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Stress resistant
  • Autonomous
