Case management supervisor

Job Description

Provide support, coaching and capacity building to social workers implementing case management and facilitating emotional support groups
  • Organize and facilitate regular case management and emotional support group review sessions with other social workers               
  • Organize and facilitate case file review session and case supervision sessions to ensure appropriate case management procedures are followed and quality case management practices are implemented.
  • Hold monthly social worker mentoring and coaching sessions based on identified needs and gaps
  • Directly provide case management and psychosocial support services to vulnerable children, whenever there are gaps in service provision at the centers or community-based safe spaces.
  • Act as a CP reporting focal point in each field location
  • Implement the case management supervision tools individually and orally with social workers every three months
  • Follow up and update social workers’ capacity building plans
 Provide technical support to social workers and outreach workers to integrate appropriate psychosocial strategies into their activities
  • Review outreach activities to ensure psychosocial strategies are incorporated
  • Ensure that outreach worker activities include key messages regarding psychosocial support services provided
  • Organize and facilitate trainings for outreach workers that address issues of how to talk about CP services provided by caseworkers, how to respond to disclosure, and how to refer CP cases
  • Assess capacity and training needs amongst caseworkers and outreach workers, and develop capacity building strategies in collaboration with LOST Manager
 Monitoring & Reporting
  • Act as a CP reporting focal point in each field location, while insuring staff follow the CP Guiding Principles and LOST’s Data Protection Protocol
  • Complete the case management Client Satisfaction survey and give feedback for M&E person
  • Participate in weekly reporting and planning meetings to ensure adherence to standards of care, quality case management, and reporting requirements are followed
 Coordination & Representation
  • Collaborate with LOST staff to ensure effective operations of safe spaces
  • As requested undertake/participate in liaison, coordination, and information sharing activities with national NGOs, international organizations, donors and government.
  • Update CP Referral Pathways, be regularly updated on all new and changes in services to CP, and build relationships with GBV actors 
  Key Working Relationships: Position Reports to:  LOST ManagerPosition directly providing technical support:  Case Workers Job Requirements:Education/ Certificates or Licenses:  Degree/diploma in Social Work, Counselling, Women’s Studies or another related field. Work Experience: Counselling and training experience with a reputable organization, including 1-2 years of experience counselling survivors of abuse or violence. Demonstrated Skills and Competencies: Clear understanding of gender inequality, and issues of violence against women and girls.Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for clients at all times essentialMust be computer literate, including Microsoft Word and ExcelPositive and professional attitude, able to organize, maintain composure and prioritize work under pressure, work overtime when necessary and be able to coordinate multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail.Ability to work as a member of a team essential Language Skills:  Fluency in Arabic and English. ReportingThe provider of services shall report to the project manager.
