Civil Engineer - Bekaa (Construction Management)

Responsibilities of the Engineer Consultant:

• Ensure that the progress of infrastructural works (construction) is according to set plan and implemented in a timely manner;
• Supervise the construction works;
• Coordinate with the engineering consultant company, and the contractors;
• Report issues and constraints arising from project implementation/construction to the project manager;
• Conduct assessments of municipal capacity and solid waste management systems;
• Provide relevant and accurate reporting of findings;
• Assist in the development of recommendations for improving solid waste management systems in each municipality;
• Support the development of upgraded solid waste management system as approved by the municipality;
• Implement activities to enhance solid waste management systems in each municipality;
• Assist in RFP development for different contracted services,
• Report on the progress of the work to the project manager;
• Ensure that the weekly/monthly work plan is respected on the field including development of activities, results, challenges and achievements of project as per templates,
• Identify areas for possible activities improvement,
• Perform other tasks, as requested by the Project Manager

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Civil engineer from reputable university;
• Minimum 5 years’ experience consulting design, supervision, construction in all trades civil, architectural, MEP;
• Previous work experience with NGO's;
• Knowledge and experience in reinforced concrete, structural steel, tiling and pavement;
• Knowledge and experience in asphalt works is a plus;
• Native of Beqaa and very good knowledge of the Beqaa region;
• Knowledge of the main consultants, contractors, suppliers, batching plants and laboratories;
• Will be primarily required for site supervision, and office support or other related works as required;
• Proficient in MS Office, ACAD, and engineering design software;
