Core Functions / Responsibilities:
1- Provide technical support for training, supervision and implementation of the GF MER according to the operational plan / work plan and in alignment with national program guidelines.
2- Assist in supervision and implementation of the GF MER; work with and technically support SRs to establish good practices of intensive supervision; monitor and cross-check project records and evaluate these against objective performance through review of project records, interviews with patients, community groups, policy makers, program staff, and others; in coordination with the M & E in the PMU, establish systems which will facilitate monitoring of the project at the health facility, implementing partner (SR), sub-national and national levels;
3- Support supervision of project implementation in conjunction with identified staff from SRs; personally visit intervention sites and provide supportive supervision of project activities to ensure delivery of project outcomes defined in the performance framework and at a community level; specifically, SRs are to be visited at least quarterly; intervention sites are to be visited in a systematic plan
4- Identify problems / challenges in project implementation and report to the PMU ; assist in ensuring coordination among government and non- government sectors including involvement of non-governmental organizations (NGOs); coordinate closely with the national program at national, state and district level; coordinate closely with SRs and other national / international partners undertaking humanitarian assistance in countries; coordinate closely and synergise with other program partners at national and sub-national levels.
5- Assist in communicating up-to-date information on project implementation and feedback on policy implementation. This includes ensuring project data management, accurate and timely quarterly project reporting, including electronic transmission; assist in coordinating and actively participate in periodic review meetings of SRs and partners / stakeholders for quarterly reporting, training, advocacy exercises, and communication initiatives.
6- Provide the GF MER PMU, a succinct report on the status of project implementation, and on any important developments, on a monthly basis in the prescribed format.
7- Provide technical support in implementation of project activities identified in the PIP and the operational plans of SRs, to ensure delivery of outcomes agreed in the performance framework; coordinate closely with SRs, program officers at sub-national levels to coordinate and support collection of routine reports, maintenance of project records, validation of data, timely analysis;
8- Regularly meet with the national Program Manager and her / his team and coordinate closely with and support sub-national managers;
9- Coordinate and assist in the creation, collection and sharing of information related to GF MER in appropriate forums
10- Prepare administrative and technical reports and presentations and undertake any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisors.

University degree in Medicine from an accredited academic institution
• Experience:
-Minimum 1 years continuous professional working experience
Prior working experience in communicable diseases particualy in Tuberculosis and/or HIV/AIDS will be an asset.
