Technical and Vocational Training Providers

IOCC is seeking individual consultants/Trainers to deliver an up to 6-week training program (60 hours) to both Syrian and Lebanese community members starting mid July 2019 within the following sectors:

• Food Processing industry (One class)
• Sewing and related skills (One class) 

Location: Tripoli, Akkar and West Beqaa.

Number of Trainees: Minimum 50 (for both classes)

Background and Purpose

With funding from Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe (DKH), these trainings fall under a Livelihood component, as part of a food security project implemented by IOCC. Educational and vocational training activities are closely interlinked with livelihood support activities, which promote employability. As a result, the program empowers both Lebanese and Syrians to become more resilient, and able to provide basic needs for their families without humanitarian assistance. It also provides Syrian refugees with skills they can use for income generation upon their return to Syria.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Use an existing curriculum for technical and vocational skills trainings within the specified sectors.
• Design and prepare all training material for trainees.
• Deliver trainings according to agreed location and timeline.
• Perform any other tasks that may be assigned by project implementing partners in agreement with training provider.

Qualifications

• Expertise and proven experience in the design, development and delivery of technical and vocational training programs.
• Sound understanding of the relevant sectors.
• Ability to assist in training material and equipment provision.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in conducting trainings and offering relevant consultancies.
