881298 – Accessible Locations for Children with Disability-Lot 1/Lot2

PROJECT 1:

Rehabilitation of 3 centers in Zahle, Taalabaya and Majdl Anjar.

World Vision is looking for an engineering contracting firm for the rehabilitation of 3 centers in the aforementioned locations under the project “Accessible Locations for Children with Disability” with financial assistance from KFAS.

The purpose of this announcement is to award a contract with the engineering contracting firm.

1-Scope of Work

 

Rehabilitate the Locations to be accessible for children with disability, based on the Accessibility Guidelines, and in compliance with the international accessibility protocols.

 

2-Description of Work

The project includes but not limited to the following works:

Rehabilitation in 3 centers in different locations in Bekaa, including:

  • Sanitary works including but not limited to the supply and installation of wc seats, lavatory and all required piping and fittings for special needs
  • Construction of concrete ramps, concrete work
  • Demolition of walls, plastering and tiling
  • Supply and Installation of wood doors
  • Supply and installation of aluminum handrails

 

By implementing this project, World Vision intends to facilitate the access for all kids with special needs.

 

PROJECT 2: Rehabilitation of a center in Aarsal.

World Vision is looking for an engineering contracting firm for the rehabilitation of a center in Aarsal under the project “Accessible Locations for Children with Disability” with financial assistance from KFAS

The purpose of this announcement is to award a contract with the engineering contracting firm.

How to Apply

Documents should be divided into 2 SEPARATE DOCUMENTS as follows:

 

DOCUMENT 1: ADMINISTRATIVE PROPOSAL and TECHNICAL PROPOSAL which includes

 

  • Legally certified copies of original documents defining the constitution or legal status, place of registration and address of business;
  • A written power of attorney authorizing the signatory of the bid to commit the  bid;
  • I.D. Bidder’s person empowered by the power of attorney (attach here the power of attorney empowering the signatory of the offer and all related documentation in case this person is not the one indicated in the company registration certificate).
  • Company profile including the list of similar works performed and corresponding amount during the past 5 years (form Annex C);
  • Certificate of registration in Ministry of Finance;
  • VAT registration certificate, if available;
  • Information regarding any current litigation in which the Contractor is involved;
  • Bid Security (Bank guarantee)
  • Bank Certificate for financial capabilities;
  • Any other information considered useful.
  • Provide information on ownership structure (Name of directors of the company / Owner) (Organization chart)
  • Provide last two years of audited financial statements or tax filing, or similar documents
  • Provide references from previous customers
  • Proof that company is clear of legal disputes in court for past 3 years
  • Sign Supplier Code of Conduct and WV’s Safeguarding document (attached)
  • Sign WV Anti-Corruption Policy (attached)
  • Sign WV Conflict of Interest (attached)
  • SRF (attached)

 

DOCUMENT 2: FINANCIAL PROPOSAL which includes

·           Detailed Financial offer: Priced BoQ for each location

  • Currencies for the bid and all rates in the Bill of Quantities shall be in US Dollars
  • All duties, taxes (except the VAT) and other levies payable by the Bidder under the Contract, or for any other cause, as of the date of the deadline for submission of bids, shall be included in the rates and prices.  On the other hand, the Grand Total Tender Price shall exclude the VAT.

 

 

 

 

 

Important Dates related to tender:

15 July 2019: Cut-off date for bidders to request tender documents ONLINE.

Instructions for the collection of tender documentation: Kindly send Letter of Interest via email to khalil_elkhoury@wvi.org in order to receive the tender documentation before aforementioned cut-off date. Email subject should be “881298 – WVL | KFAS I Call for Tender I “Accessible Locations for Children with Disability”

Any emails received after cut-off date will be rejected.

 

16 July 2019: Cut-off date for the expression of interest in joining the mandatory site visit.

Instructions for joining the site visit: Kindly send an email to khalil_elkhoury@wvi.org containing: Company Name, Contact Person who will be attending the site visit, Contact Number, Email.

Any emails received after cut-off date will be rejected

 

17 July 2019: A mandatory site visit will be held at 10:00 AM in Bekaa for Lot-1, the meeting point will be at Zahle. Interested contractors will receive a phone call from WVL to provide the contractors with all details regarding site visit on 16 July 2019.

 

18 July 2019: A mandatory site visit will be held at 10:00 AM in Bekaa for Lot-2, the meeting point will be at Zahle. Interested contractors will receive a phone call from WVL to provide the contractors with all details regarding site visit on 16 July 2019.

 

22 July 2019: Cut-off date for receipt of any questions regarding the tender. Questions should be sent via email to khalil_elkhoury@wvi.org. One comprehensive Q&A report will be sent to all bidders on 23 July 2019.

Any questions received after the cut-off date (22 July 2019) will be rejected,

 

30 July 2019 (4:00 PM):

DEADLINE for submission of bid and all related documents (Administrative, Technical, Financial) online AND in a Sealed Envelope to our office in Mansourieh (by 4:00 PM at the latest).

Any bids received after the DEADLINE will be rejected.
