Protection Officer

Scope of Work: 

Ensure a smooth exchange between LebRelief team, beneficiaries and the community and providing technical support as needed.

Ensure quality and minimum protection standards are implemented and respected in all activities, including SGBV.

Arrange and ensure that all procurement requests and plans are being delivered as per the requirements of the team.

Create and update of activity plans per activity/programme site and communicate the targets, programme objectives and activity plans clearly to participants at large ensuring they are well understood among the social workers.

Establishing and maintaining a monthly work and weekly plan which will include weekly monitoring visits to all locations where activities are implemented.  

Liaise with local institutions, such as SDCs and municipalities to ensure systems building at the regional level.

Report on weekly, monthly bases the target reached and the area of implementation, and challenges faced during the implementation.

Ensure a strict adherence to the principles of Protection at all times, including respect for confidentiality.

Work closely with  all teams, with particular focus on education and Food Security and Livelihood team to ensure program integration.

Attend protection working groups, meetings and trainings to ensure an up to date cognition on the protection policies.

Ensure that all data needed by the partners are being filled and submitted on time on weekly or monthly basis.

Any other related activities as per request of the Child Protection Officer, Coordinator and/or  Programme Manager

Experience in managing people and working in a team.

Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines.

Facilitation and coaching skills.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Good computer skills.

Ability to analyze information, evaluate options and to plan strategically.

Strength in interpersonal and communication skills.  

Fluent in written and spoken Arabic, good written and spoken English and/or French.
