Part-Time Agricultural or Irrigation Enumerators

I.  Project Background

The Lebanon Community Support Program (CSP) is a multi-year project funded by USAID to support municipalities and underserved and vulnerable communities in providing better services and enhanced economic opportunities to improve lives and reduce tensions that contribute to conflict and violence, primarily in Lebanon’s North, South, and Bekaa regions.

II.  Summary of Position

USAID CSP Is looking for part-time Junior-level agricultural or irrigation specialists/enumerators consultants to undertake farm-level data collection and survey work in support of programming in Bekaa, North, and/or South areas. The selected enumerators will gather data through field visits and/or phone calls to farmers. The enumerators will enter the data into a database. Data collection will range from 20 to 350 farmers depending on the area selected. Enumerators will be responsible for their own transportation. Phone charges will be reimbursed. Level of Effort is anticipated to be up to 80 days annually.

              III.  Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct face-to-face or Phone interviews as requested with the selected respondents.
• Record the answers accurately and code the questionnaires accordingly.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of answers; perform accuracy checks on the questionnaires.
• Ensure security and safety for the completed questionnaires.
• Enter collected data into database
• Deliver completed questionnaires to designated CSP Staff.
• Safeguard the confidentiality and privacy of the collected information.

              IV.  Specific deliverables:

• Survey documents including filled database

V.  Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business, or Economic Sector or 1-year professional experience
• Fluency in spoken Arabic and English required.
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• Strong Communications Skills

VI.  Level of Effort and Period of Performance

This assignment will take place from in 2019/2020. The consultant will work on a part-time basis and will be eligible for up to 80 days of LOE during the period of performance.

The enumerator will report to designated Regional Program Manager

IX.  Remuneration

$60/day including Transportation.

Phone Charges will be reimbursed.
