MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support the implementation of the project

Support in the development of Bill of Quantities (BoQs) based on the technical drawings and tender documents.

Assist in the design, specifications and planning for water and wastewater treatment and infrastructure projects.

Draft drawings as required.

Work with the engineer to develop detailed, site-specific (Bi Monthly) work plans to ensure adequate technical oversight of the interventions at the field-level.

Supervise field-level infrastructure implementation.

Follow up on the ways the samples are taken from the field, analyze laboratory results if applicable.

Drawings and specifications are reflected in BOQ’s.

Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP) that is updated Bi-Weekly

Implemented of works as per the approved specifications

Tests done are as per specifications

Water quality in accordance to specifications.

Perform other duties as required

Attend and participate in capacity building trainings locally and internationally.

Attend and participate in WVL’s spiritual nurture and other organizational events.

Responsible of own security and actively contribute to a positive security culture.

Abide by the security policies and procedures and report any incidents or breaches to line manager and / or security manager.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Line Manager

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

1. Bachelor Degree in Civil, Industrial, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering
2. 1 to 2 Years of experience in a similar position
3. Experience working collaboratively in a team
4. Strong English and Arabic communication skills (oral and written)
5. Cross-cultural sensitivity, flexible worldview, emotional maturity and physical stamina
6. Ability to maintain performance expectations in psychologically stressful environments and physical hardship conditions with limited resources
7. Ability to use a computer, with word-processing and spreadsheets, (e.g. Microsoft Office)
8. Member in Lebanese Order of Engineers and Architects
9. Ability to Use ArcGIS and AutoCad
10. Travel to implementation sites and regional, global meetings as required
