Programs Manager

  • KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
  1. Strategic :

- Provide an overall strategic guidance in the geographic area of the programs he is managing, in order to align the programs activities and results under a common strategy to guarantee the building of response from crisis to development.

- Provide strategic guidance to the staff to determine the needs.

- Maintain relationships and support to local stakeholders.

-Represent IHR in the instances of coordination at Area level.

-Coordinate mission of donors and partners.

-Follow the preparation of the needed studies and proposals.

-Follow up on the process of submitting proposals to the different stakeholders/donors.

-Work on possible partnership with different donors.

b) Planning and Reporting

- Prepare the weekly work plan.

- Prepare comprehensive monthly reports detailing the activities progress, achievements, constraints and lessons learned.

- Prepare schedules, informative community briefs and projects data.

 

c) Management

- Monitor the implementation of the activities in the Area.

- Evaluate the performance of the staff.

- Ensure the cost effectiveness and time bound for the activities implementation.

  • Share findings and lessons learned, and ensure that an adequate flow of information is disseminated.
  • Ensure proper follow up and liaison with other operating projects in the Area
  • Participate in all other relevant activities requested by the office.
  • Carrying out staff appraisals, managing performance and disciplining staff.
  • Delegating work to staff and managing their workload and output.
  • Promoting staff development and training.

d) Financial functions

- Certify various expenditures in conformity with the area work plan and operational activities.

- Supervise the staff to ensure adequate transparent procurement and administrative support to the activities at the area level.

- Ensure that financial disbursement records and inventory records are according to rules and regulations of IHR.

-  Support the preparation of financial reports as required.

- Ensure that local and international procurement are in line with IHR rules and procedures.

Application Submission Guidelines
  • Must have high proficiency in the English language - both verbal and written.
  • BS in business Administration.
  • At Least 3 Years NGO and humanitarian projects experience.
  • Project Management skills in leadership positions on projects of a cross-functional nature.
  • Ability to communicate and deliver effective presentations.
  • Computer Literacy.
