SEED is a non-profit nongovernmental organization working in Tripoli to support the education sector since 2016.
Since SEED together with People in Need Slovakia are implementing a project financially supported by SlovakAid under the tittle: ‘Education as a pathway to better living conditions for vulnerable children and youth from Lebanese and refugee communities in Tripoli’.
We are looking for a experienced spychologics
Work description:
- Evaluation of psychosocial and mental health needs of children, parents and caregivers who were referred or by themselves sought the psychologist
- Coordinates the creation of an intervention plan with Social worker and Manager of child education in order to provide assistance to children and families coping with psychological difficulties
- Provides therapeutic support for children, families and care-givers through individual or group sessions
- Identifies cases requiring psychiatric help or other special assistance e.g. in cases of domestic violence or gender based violence
- Assists with other relevant activities which Manager of child education may identify
Required educational level, qualification and skills:
- Graduate of higher education (e.g. master) from psychology or other relevant degrees
- At least 3 years of experience as a psychologist working with children from vulnerable communities
- Fluency in Arabic and English as an asset.
- Excellent communication (also within project team), observation and analytical skills
- Being able to work individually and professionally
- Being able to adapt to cultural context and follow the vision, values and principles of SEED and People in Need Slovakia
